Rincon Colorado

Rincon Colorado. It’s got a nice ring to it.

You’ve gotta love the obscure names that exist in the remote parts of this country. This region is on a map, probably with the same name the Spaniards gave it when they rolled through in the 1600s.

Sadly, there were tons of beer cans littered everywhere.

We couldn’t stand seeing them, so on our drive out we filled two large garbage bags (with no space left in the car) from only driving 1 mile of a 5 mile stretch.


The thin line that runs through the middle of the photo above is the road that we came in on.

These photos were taken from the bluffs above. It’s such an incredibly beautiful area, just northwest of a somewhat remote and destitute part of New Mexico.
