very tasty filled pastry

The pastry above is called an Ouzi, and was very tasty for a rainy Saturday afternoon. You can get them from places like Moustache Pitza on Lexington and 102nd Street.

It’s filo dough baked to perfection and served hot. It’s filled with chicken, carrots, sweet peas, onions, raisins, almonds, basmati rice and special spices. I could show you what it looks like inside, but then if you don’t live in New York, you would be mad that nobody local makes them.
